Baked Lemon Garlic Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 lemons (juiced)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Chicken:

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  • Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Make the Marinade:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, oregano, thyme, and paprika.

Marinate the Chicken:

Place the chicken breasts in a zip-top bag or a shallow dish.

Pour the marinade over the chicken, making sure it's well-coated.

Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator. For more flavor, you can marinate it for up to 4 hours.

Bake the Chicken:

Transfer the marinated chicken breasts to a baking dish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Broil for Crispy Finish (Optional):

If you like a crispy exterior, you can broil the chicken for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.

Garnish and Serve:

Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.

Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Serve the baked lemon garlic chicken with your favorite side dishes, such as roasted vegetables, rice, or a salad.
