Spicy mongolian beef recipe

 




Ingredients:
  • 1 pound (450g) thinly cut flank steak for the beef marinade

  • three tsp of soy sauce
  • One tsp of hoisin sauce
  • One spoonful of sauce for oysters
  • One tablespoon of cornflour
  • One tsp of sesame oil
  • One tsp sugar
  • two minced garlic cloves
  • One tsp freshly grated ginger

Regarding the Sauce:

  • one-third cup soy sauce
  • one-fourth cup water
  • Two tsp of hoisin sauce.
  • Two tsp of brown sugar
  • One spoonful of hot sauce with garlic. (Adjust to desired level of spice)
  • One tablespoon of cornflour

Extra Ingredients:

  • two tsp of vegetable oil
  • Three sliced green onions (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Spice up the beef:

Combine all the marinade ingredients in a basin and mix in the sliced flank steak. Give it at least half an hour to marinate.

2. Get the sauce ready:

Mix the soy sauce, water, brown sugar, chili garlic sauce, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch in a different bowl. Put aside.

3. Prepare the Beef:

In a large pan or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Stir-fry the marinated beef pieces until they are cooked through and browned. After taking the steak out of the pan, set it aside.

4. Prepare the Sauce:

Transfer the sauce mixture to the same pan. Stir and cook until thickened.

5. Mix and Complete:


Return the cooked steak to the pan and toss to recoat it in sauce. Simmer for one or two more minutes.

6. Serve:

Place the spicy Mongolian beef on a platter for serving.
If preferred, garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
