Components:
. 200g of rolled oats
. 150g butter without salt
. 75 grams of light brown sugar
. Three tablespoons of golden syrup
. One large apple, cored, grated, and peeled
. 1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder
. A small amount of salt
Guidelines:
Warm up the oven:
Adjust the oven temperature to 180°C (350°F) and place parchment paper on a baking dish or tray.
Get the apples ready:
Grate, peel, and core the apple. Put it away.
Prepare the Flapjack Concoction:
Melt the butter, brown sugar, and golden syrup in a saucepan over low heat. Until the sugar dissolves, stir.
Include Flavor and Oats:
After turning off the heat, combine the rolled oats, grated apple, ground cinnamon, and a small amount of salt in the saucepan. Everything should be properly mixed and well blended.
Move to the Baking Dish:
Using a spoon or spatula, transfer the flapjack mixture to the baking dish that has been lined, and push down evenly.
Cook in the Oven:
After preheating the oven, place the baking dish inside and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the rims are golden brown.
Once cooled, slice into fingers:
After a few minutes, let the flapjack cool in the baking dish before moving it to a wire rack to finish cooling. Cut into finger-sized bars after they've cooled.
Present and Savor:
Present your mouthwatering apple flapjack fingers and savor them as a tasty after-dinner treat.
Optional Extras:
For added flavor, you can add chopped nuts, dried fruits, or a chocolate drizzle.
Note: Vary the baking time according to the level of crunch you want and your oven. Watch the edges to make sure you don't overbake.
