  • One cup of flour for all purposes

 Instructions:

  • Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt thoroughly in a sizable mixing bowl.
  • Beat the egg, melted butter, and milk together in a another bowl until smooth.

  • Mixing until just mixed, pour the wet components into the dry ingredients. It's normal to have some lumps in the batter; just take care not to overmix.
  • Grease a non-stick skillet or griddle with butter or oil and heat it over medium heat.
  •  For each pancake, add 1/4 cup of batter to the skillet. Cook for two to three minutes, or until bubbles appear on the pancake's surface and its edges begin to firm.
