Choc chip pecan pie




 Ingredients:


Regarding the pie crust:



  • One nine-inch pie crust, not baked
 
Regarding the filling:

  • One cup of chocolate chips, semi-sweet
  • Half a cup of pecan halves
  • Three big eggs
  • One cup of light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup of sugar, granulated
  • 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
  • One tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions:

  • Set the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).

  • Combine the chocolate chips and pecan halves in a small bowl. In the bottom of the unbaked pie dough, distribute them equally.

  • Beat the eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt thoroughly in a different bowl.
  •  Over the chocolate chips and pecans in the pie crust, pour the egg mixture.

  • After putting the pie on a baking pan to catch any drips, bake it for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set.


  • Halfway through baking, you can cover the crust's edges with aluminum foil if they are browning too quickly.

  • Before slicing and serving, take the baked pie out of the oven and allow it to cool completely on a wire rack.

  • If preferred, serve the pie slices with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
