Instructions:

1. Choose and Clean the Oranges:

Pick ripe and fresh oranges. Give them a thorough cleaning with running water.

2. Scoop and chop the oranges:

Segment the oranges in two. Squeeze the oranges to release the juice, either by hand or with a citrus juicer.

As an alternative, you can squeeze the juice using your hands or a portable citrus reamer.

3. Strain (Optional):

Pour the freshly squeezed juice into a dish or pitcher, and if you would rather it's pulp-free, strain it through cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer.

4. Add sweetness (optional):

Try the juice that was just squeezed. You can sweeten it with sugar if you think it's too tart. Start with a modest quantity and change it to your preference.

5. Chill (Optional):

Orange juice can be chilled for at least an hour before serving if you'd rather it cold. Ice cubes can also be added to separate glasses.

6. Serve:

Fill glasses with freshly squeezed orange juice.

For a decorative touch, place an orange slice on the glass's rim.

7. Have fun:

The vivid, all-natural flavor of homemade orange juice will revive you.

8. Note:

Try a variety of orange cultivars to achieve a unique flavor character.

After squeezing, serve right away for maximum freshness.
